Tynt Meadow

One of only 11 authentic Trappist breweries in the world, situated at Mount St. Bernard Abbey near Coalville. In 2017-18 the monks relocated their refectory, kitchen, and laundry to provide space for the installation of a new artisanal brewery. The volume of production is kept relatively small. Just enough to meet their expenses and support their charitable commitments. As of 2018, the brewery is their principal field of labour. All the work, from brewing to bottling and packaging, is done by the monks.
